Whosayz runs on your Mac. Your recordings, transcripts, voice profiles and notes stay there.
What stays on your Mac
Everything Whosayz makes: the copies of your recordings, transcripts, speaker names and voice profiles, summaries, answers to your questions, and the notes it writes to your notes folder. Transcription, speaker detection and summaries run on your computer. There is no Whosayz account and no server that receives your meetings.
When it goes online
Only to download models during setup: the speech and speaker models come from Hugging Face or, if that's unreachable, from files.whosayz.com; the summary model comes from Ollama. These downloads send nothing about you or your meetings. The meeting pages you open from a note are served by the app itself, on your Mac, and can't be reached from other computers.
Analytics
The app has no analytics or tracking. This website sets no cookies. Our host, Cloudflare, keeps standard request logs and measures page load speed with its cookie-free Web Analytics.
Recording other people
Whosayz works from recordings you make. Tell people when you're recording, and follow the laws where you are; some places require everyone's consent.
